LifePath Unlimited lets me have it all. If you want to know that truth, I’m a very complex person. I’m one who wants the whole enchilada: I want to do everything, see everything, and then write about everything that I do and see. On the other hand, though, I love my home and my family and one of my greatest desires is to nurture my children and grandchildren. Happily, because of my home business with LifePath Unlimited, I can let both sides of my personality shine through. LifePath Unlimited lets me have it all.
LifePath Unlimited Showed Me the Possibilities
It was during my first few weeks at LifePath Unlimited that I immersed myself in the flagship LPU product, 56 Days of Discovery, a home study course in personal transformation. I listened over and over again to each of the eight Discovery CDs and heard the wisdom of the fourteen LifePath Luminaries who contributed to the course. I began to realize the possibilities that exist in my life, possibilities of which I had been previously unaware. The sheer exultation of realizing that I could truly have it all was breathtaking. I saw that the travel, the cultural experiences, the personal growth, the care of my family, the personal legacy could all intermingle to weave the tapestry of my life.
From Compromised to Congruent with LifePath Unlimited
You may wonder what my life was like before LifePath Unlimited. It was wonderful and awful, blessed and incongruent, expanding and conflicting. I know that answer seems confusing, but, let me explain. I am the mother of six wonderful children. I love wearing all the hats a mother wears: caregiver, nurturer, teacher, psychologist, nurse, social advisor, cheerleader, and confidante. The awful part began when it became necessary for me to leave my family to go to work outside our home. In the face of financial difficulty, we were blessed that I found a teaching position, but the incongruence of being away from home 60 hours a week was ripping me apart. I was a good teacher and I knew that I was making a difference in the lives of my students. I was also expanding my horizons and becoming better in my teaching, but the price I was paying was heavy: I was giving my best time to someone else’s children.
When LifePath Unlimited found me, I immediately recognized a way out of the compromised life I was leading. I saw that it truly was possible to work from home, replace my income, be my own boss, and arrange my work schedule around my life (rather than the other way around). More than that, though, I knew that with LifePath Unlimited offered me a way to fulfill the two dreams I had tucked away deep inside: 1) see the world; and 2) leave a personal legacy for my family.
Opportunities have come to me through this industry to explore the ruins of Athens, Greece; tour the back roads of Cancun, Mexico on an ATV; kayak the rivers of Puerto Rico; revel in the snowy wonderland of Whistler, British Colombia at Christmastime; skydive from 13000 feet in the heat of the Arizona desert; helicopter across the island of Hawaii from Kona to Hilo and back; and gaze in awe at the wonders of Machu Picchu, Peru. And I’ve done all of this since I turned 50 years old!
More importantly, though, I am creating a personal legacy for my family and, while that legacy includes financial elements, it is essentially a legacy of choosing to live a life by design rather than by default. There will never be any doubt in the minds of my posterity that I lived my dreams, that I recognized the wonders of the world around me, that I celebrated every day, that I loved without reservation, and that I knew with all my heart that the purpose of life is to live joyfully.
To many people, resigning from a teaching position with insurance, a 401k and paid days off is an error in judgment, but, to members of the LifePath Unlimited community, such a decision represents a choice to be, do, and have it all. Thank you, LifePath Unlimited for offering me the whole enchilada!
